High performing teams are the life blood of a successful business or project. We have developed a structured team coaching programme called Pathfinder to support the development of high performing teams in any environment. It is based upon the common dysfunctions of teams defined through vast amounts of research and can be used to set teams up for success or to overcome challenges which may arise once they are up and running. Pathfinder creates value by providing teams with applicable development whilst building ownership and engagement with the work they are doing, as they are actually doing their work.
Our diagnostic tool identifies where business team coaching support needs to focus. It looks at the common elements of team dysfunctionality (including trust, conflict management, accountability and governance) as well as reviewing understanding of team mission, purpose and processes.
Data from the diagnostic is used to develop and agree a tailored plan of activities supported by our team coaching to build the team capability, engagement levels and establish appropriate governance and working processes.
Our coaches deliver the agreed activities using elements of our Pathfinder programme as planned and support the team in the application of their new capabilities, providing feedback and monitoring. Wherever possible these activities are delivered within the existing working schedule for the team to avoid delays to delivery timelines.
Plan, do and review is a key element of successful team coaching and delivery. The final element of the programme involves a review with the team and key stakeholders to reinforce the learning and discuss how to sustain the behaviours and team working after the programme has finished

Business team coaching is a powerful tool that helps improve team dynamics and performance in a number of ways. Coaching aims to improve communication and collaboration with other teams, to increase engagement and skills, as well as fostering a growth mindset. As well as improving the performance of individuals, it benefits the business by creating a cohesive team, united towards a common objective.
Team coaching provides a framework for improving team performance. Your coach will firstly diagnose the obstacles in the way of how your team is performing. Once these obstacles are understood, they will put in place a series of workshops to address the issues, for example, communication, lack of trust, lack of resilience. The important thing is that they will do this in conjunction with you, to make sure that the goals are clear.
Business team coaching is designed to identify the areas where your team needs some support, and put in place a structured programme of workshops, and one to one sessions to help improve team performance. The outcome? A highly performing team, all focused on the same objectives.
Team coaching improves team dynamics and performance by identifying areas of team dysfunction, and then putting in a place a structured plan to address the issues identified. Feedback and reflection is then an important step in the improvement process, to cement learning and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
The important first step in team coaching is to identify why the team is struggling to perform optimally. Once the issues have been identified, the coach will then put in place a programme of workshops and individual coaching sessions, to address both individual and team dynamics.
